16mm follicle, any hope?

I went in for my mid cycle scan today and they only saw 1, she said it measured about 16mm and they like to see it around 20-24. The tech told me to keep using my opks and if I don't get a positive by Friday then take my trigger shot. Which freaks me out bc I've never done it before. Any advice ladies?

I had a 16,14&12 when I went in on a Monday. Ended up triggering Wednesday night because opks were all coming up blank and we didn’t want to miss it with our IUI on Friday and now I’m 4 weeks pregnant waiting on my second hcg number so it’s possible.

I just used my first trigger shot last week! It didnt hurt at all but I will admit I made my mom come over and give it to me. She is a nurse lol!

The trigger shot did not hurt at all. Not even after. But my doctor always has me come in for the ultrasound and if my follicle isn’t where they want it they have me come back two days later to make sure it grew to the correct size and then I do the trigger that night. I ovulated on my own this cycle so I didn’t need to trigger. But the injection did not hurt. Make sure you push down on the syringe to inject the medication slowly otherwise it will burn if you do it too quickly. They warned me about that before I did it so I already knew but I didn’t even feel the needle when I put it in. It’s super tiny. You’ll be fine. I was mortified but once I did it I was like wow Idk why I was afraid of that lol. But you do it two inches on either side of your belly button or anywhere below you just pinch the skin and then inject it. Make sure you use one of those wipes to clean the area first and then hold a cotton swab on it for about a minute

Yes there is hope! I had one follicle about the same size on the side with the only open tube and it worked! I have one fallopian tube blocked but this time it was finally on the right side. So one chance, and I got a BFP. :) I did IUI which is not as bad as you might think. Totally worth the effort and trigger shot. You can do this!

You squeeze the fat of your tummy next to the belly button then release it and slowly put the injection, I did it before work in the morning and then in the evening we had intercourse and the next two days, it’s going to hurt you a little bit where you are going to put the injection but only few days, there’s nothing to worry about, I think they already explained that to you, all the best.
