Brownish discharge during late pregnancy

I'm currently 37 weeks 5 days. I'm beginning to have a slight brownish discharge since last Monday. My baby is fine and still moving around actively. My parents assured me that I'm fine (my dad is a nurse) and it's just a sign my body preparing for the labour but still, I wanna hear other mamas exp. out there 😅. I'm a FTM and getting nervous recently 😥... Does this mean I'll be giving birth anytime soon enough? Mamas out there, would u plesa share your exp? I know it's diff for everyone but that would be nice to know. Thanks 😊.
