My kid is a brat. Please help.

Please no rude comments I’m incredibly stressed and overwhelmed.

My son is two. I just had a baby a week ago where we both almost died. It was traumatic. I get my son is just acting out but I don’t know how to handle this.

Luckily my newborn is very easy but my son is not. He’s constantly trying to wake her up. Screaming on purpose banging on doors being as loud as he can.

He’s throwing fits not listening. Usually I redirect him. Not working. I tell him my expectations or reteach them. Not working. We’ve tried time outs. He doesn’t care. I’ve tried taking things he likes which causes a meltdown and then he starts hitting. I’ve tried spending more one on one time with him but doesn’t affect other behavior. I’ve tried rewarding and praising good behavior. Aside from hitting him which I don’t do. I feel like I’ve tried everything.

Please help me bc I’m at my wits end healing from major surgery taking care of my newborn no sleep and my toddler acting this way. And yes I have some help my mom takes him a lot but he’s acting this way with her too now. His dad is literally no help and it’s like pulling teeth.
