Stopping award for using potty..

I potty trained my boy in February. We used 3 M&Ms each time he goes on the potty. He has MAYBE 1 accidents a week now. Thing is he still ask for m&ms!! It's been about 1.5 months since he's had regular accidents.

I've stopped M&Ms a few weeks ago and he had an accident every 2 days or so...so I started them again and it fixed it. I now just do m&ms when he "reminds" me, which is probably 1-2 times a day.

I'm not sure if I should try stopping the treats again or just let it ride out until he stops asking for them or when I feel he won't rebel?? Anyone have any tricks on stopping the potty rewards? I'm ok with him getting a sweet treat each day and I've been using his m&ms as his daily treat too so I guess it's not too huge a deal.
