Would you be mad ?

Alright ladies . I live with my boyfriend  of over 5 years , not once during the day does he text or call to see how me and our son are doing ( I’m okay a little bit with this) but when he comes home I don’t even get a hi how are you how was your day he goes right to the couch on his phone . He even yells at our son when my son wants his attention it’s gotten to the point where I don’t even care anymore I’ve been picking up the pieces with our son . What are your thoughts on this ?

Answer

I wouldn’t let a man yell at my child for wanting attention, it’s emotionally abusive and wrong. Divorce and move in with family or a friend; or come to a co-parenting agreement where you live in the same house but are separated. You can’t be with someone who isn’t there even when he’s “there”. I’d talk to him about it and address it full on; of course if that goes nowhere then leave.

Not okay in my relationship any ways . I can’t speak for any one else but my husband and I text all day he will call me when he is going from job to job (he’s in construction industry). He travels a lot for work. He always says hey to me an the kids goes to the restroom . Then when he is done he will sit play his games on his phone and socialize with us. But if me or the kids want or need something or want or need to do any thing he is on it.

Not ok.  Once in a while, had a bad day?  Sure, it happens.   Every day?  He doesn't act like he wants his family.   Unacceptable.
