Is this it? 40+6
So yesterday I had a Midwife appt & when she asked how I was feeling. I expressed to her how I had been having constant Braxton-Hicks for 3 nearly 4 weeks.
Not only that. I have had pretty intense pelvic pressure and quite a lot of of lower back pain.
Midwifes at my hospital don’t generally offer things like a stretch and sweep but because I am 6 days overdue. She offered me one and I gladly accepted. ( I know babies come when they’re ready. I shouldn’t force it out. Blah blah blah) but like I said. I’ve been uncomfortable for NEARLY 4 weeks.
Anyway. I get it done and almost instantly my back is more crampy then usual.
I didn’t think much of it, and just assumed that if it was labour then the pains will pick up.
The Braxton-Hicks were regular. But they have been for weeks.
About 4 hours pass by this stage I’ve noticed that the Braxton Hicks are actually hurting a little. (They don’t normally hurt, Just tighten ALOT and I feel pressure.)
So I carry on with my day and at about 4pm took some paracetamol to try and help me feel more comfortable. I heard that if you take Panadol and the pain doesn’t subside then it’s most probably the real deal.
TMI:
I was spotting after the sweep and when I went to the toilet I noticed like a fair amount of blood mixed with mucus. Now I don’t know if it’s normal to have a show after a sweep or if it was actually a show.
Anyway.
I go to bed at about 8pm. Still having pains but nothing I can’t handle. Wake up a few times throughout the night to pee and notice that they’ve intensified but again. Nothing I can’t handle. So I went back to sleep.
I’ve now woken up this morning at about 5 and they are pretty painful. I haven’t timed them yet. But I would say they’re about every 10 mins.
And I’ve lost more “mucusy” stuff.
Does this sound like the real deal or could it just be that my cervix is irritable from the sweep?
Update. : this has to be real. The pain is BAD.
