Big Sister Lovin

Y'all - I was so worried my 18 month old would be upset and reject her sister when she came to visit her baby sister. We had got a baby doll to practice a few months ago, taught her to hug and kiss babies (she turns her head to the side and makes a snack sound) - and yesterday it all paid off. Big sister came and got to the room, asking "where baby?". Once hubby asked if she wanted to see the baby she said "yeah" and when we sat her on the couch as the baby came into the room she eagerly reached out her hands to try and hold baby. She was so in love and overwhelmed that she had a tantrum after no "newness" (actually holding her) was involved. She wanted to hold her sister so bad - my heart has never been fuller!
