Busy with religion?

As an atheist, I never spent that much time thinking about religion except when reviewing my own beliefs. Now, here on Glow, I'm exposed to a lot of Christian comments - religion is a large part of their lives and it is reflected in their communication. What surprises me is how active the atheist and agnostic group is.

It's interesting that for a group of people who either does not believe in anything or believes that there is something, we have so much to talk about.

I'm glad this group is here. It's a break from the proselytizing I see a lot, and it is nice to know that I can share my story and know that I am not the only one who has been there- and that no one will witness to me. It's a safe space. I wish we could all get together in one space for coffee, or lota of wine!

Sometimes going through posts is so overwhelming because there's so many religious comments, some good and most just completely condescending that I have to come back to this group and read posts here to keep myself sane lol.

It's a common belief, or lack thereof, that brings us together (hope that doesn't sound too cheesy). I am so happy to see how active this group is! It is very comforting to know that there is this one little corner of Glow where I can ask questions or make comments and get responses from like-minded women. And none of us are going to fight about who doesn't believe in "god" the most! haha.

I think the fact that glow community has so much religious talk helps keep this group alive. (I've never seen this much anywhere else, and most of the time it's for no reason at all!)

Any group that's a minority who is given a place to commune will thrive. I'm glad we have that group

I concur with Friday, it's great having our own niche of like-minded people... Where I know I won't be witnessed to. 😄 I don't even get that on FB, so this is great!
