3D & 4D ultrasounds?

Okay weird question but I’m a ftm and I could call an ask my doctor but I was hoping y’all could possibly give me an answer first. Do I have to make an appointment by myself to get one or will  the doctor ask me closer to time cause I’m 25 weeks now & was just wondering if I should schedule one myself or what? Please help!

Depending on your doctor they may give you a 3D. I made a 4D ultrasound for baby and the nurse at my hospital said don’t trust them because they aren’t “trained” and don’t always know what they’re talking about but my 4D went fine and everything they told me is exactly what my doctor told me but otherwise you gotta make it urself

At my office I just make the appointment. They told me at my first appointment they like to do it between 26-29 weeks. So close to that time I just make the appointment for around then. The regular office sonographer is the one that does it, its just out of pocket not covered by insurance.

You do it yourself at a private company. It has nothing to do with your doctor
