Being the bad guy to my in-laws

Since they kicked us out four years ago the have only seen our son once. Now there are allegations and court documents of sexual abuse in their home. Now all of sudden they want to be a part of my son and unborn child’s life.

No thank you!

The message I sent:

Michael and I have decided it is in our children's best interest not to allow anyone connected to negative and illegal activities around. We do not know what happened however based on legal documents and investigation something did happen.

In addition to that you and the rest of the immediate family have been inconsistent and cannot come in and out of their lives because it can cause more damage, with little to no benefit to our children.

I understand it may be hard for you to understand this course of action however since parting ways almost four years ago we have heard about negative and now criminal activity occurring under your roof. We will not expose our children to that in any capacity.

That being said we hope you all are safe and have great lives. We genuinely hope that your lives improve but we will not be a part of them.
