yeast infection/ sti?

I started having this discharge (seems like yeast) and so i bought tioconazole 1 treatment, i used it last night but this morning my whole private part woke up swollen and burning. my vagina doesn'r burn or anything it's mostly around my urethra and my clit, any idea why? or has anyone else experienced this wt the treatment? im freaking out! (i've never had a yeast infection before either)
