Breastfeeding freaks me out ☹️

I’m due with my first in the fall, and I fully intend to breastfeed for at least a year if possible, because I know the health benefits, the bonding, etc. I’ve ordered my pump through Aeroflow since I work full time, but will be taking the max 3 months off to get the hang of breastfeeding while at home and get my supply going.

BUT, breastfeeding freaks me out. I know it’s normal and natural and beautiful and all that, so please don’t be a jerk because I know this is a weird hang up I have. (I think it’s because I really haven’t been around women breastfeeding, plus our cultural obsession with sexualizing breasts.)

Did anyone else have this hang up before their first was born, but get over it? Or did it keep being weird?
