What am I going to do?

I’m so emotionally attached to my dog. I never ever cry, but I thought I lost her for literally 6 minutes yesterday and I was sobbing. She stepped on a rock and was crying and limping and I had an anxiety attack. How am I going to live when she dies? She is everything to me.

I had a great dane who was my absolute world. This was my first "child" she was fully trained and went on road trips and everywhere with me but work and shopping.   She went through a divorce with me and so much. She was with me when I met my husband. She ended up developing a cancer and passing away sadly. I was devastated. I cried for like 3 days and couldnt eat and only slept when I had cried myself into exhaustion. It was hard but its been 4 years in July. I still have all our photos on Facebook I still miss her and still refer to her as my first child in many ways. It breaks my heart she passed and didn't get to meet my daughter and won't meet my son either. It never really feels great but you feel the pain ease as time passes and like when a friend or family member passea you know that they're in a better place.

What am I going to do?
