When did you first take baby out? (Excluding doctor appts)

Wondering when you took baby out for the first time and where did you go? A public place like the grocery or to family’s houses? Somewhere else? Excluding doctor.

I’ve taken all 3 of my babies out a week after they been born to visit family or go shopping, then after 2wks once I could drive again (I’ve had c-section) I was back to doing school runs by myself so baby had to come with me anyways..

I’ve taken my 4 week old out multiple times but she’s always stayed in her car seat and no one’s touched her lol

2 days old 🤷🏻‍♀️ she went to Target and Applebee's. At 1 week, she was going to multiple other restaurants, on a ghost walk, the beach, a friend's house, the mall, etc. At 1 month, she went to the San Diego Zoo, the county fair, more restaurants, her first MLB game, her first 3-hour "road trip", etc. We never kept ourselves locked up just because we had a baby. There's no need for that and it's horrible for your mental health.

At 2.5 weeks old we drove from Florida to Maine to see my mom. Then we moved there.

Depends on season baby is born in :) my daughter was born in May so we got out quite a bit - weather was perfect for walks.

I have a dog who needs exercise, so from day 1 we have always gone for a walk :)

Grocery stores and Target at a week ish old.  They were short trips but hubby and I both needed to get out of the house.  And we wanted to do trial runs of outings to make sure things went smooth before he went back to work.  
I found most people were respectful of our space.  They'd smile and ask questions about him, especially if he was fussy, but no one tried to touch him or his things, which my inner germaphobe appreciated.
