Daddy troubles

My daughter is 3 months old and my husband believes she hates him. He works all day so only gets to see her a few hours at night. She is generally very fussy at night so tends to scream a lot when he takes her. She is breastfeed and currently with me 24/7 so naturally very mommy dependent. I go back to work on Monday and my husband is taking his 6 weeks off to watch her. Any suggestions for what might help them bond and make the transition to him watching her all day smoother?
