If you are insulin resistant how much insulin works for you and what kind?
I am 13 weeks 5 days pregnant and was taken off my glipizide and trulicity which we’re keeping me under control with a low carb diet. Now my numbers are double what they were and my drs only see me every two weeks. Today I noticed my neuropathy is getting much worse with tingling up my calf’s. I could scream and cry. I’m hungry they are worried about me gaining weight. I decided to up my own insulin this week before I go back because their increases are way too small. I’m doubling it. I tried it this afternoon and ate a bowl of Cheerios and my bs was 289. The nutritionist is the one who told me to eat cereal and bread. I’m trying hard not to harm my baby but I don’t want to lose even more feeling in my legs. My husband is worried I will harm the baby doing this but it’s the sugar poisoning the baby and me. I’m just feeling hopeless and alone and unsupported and my husband doesn’t get it.
