Ben Shapiro fan boys

So I don’t really have an issue with Shapiro, just that he debates like a child. But he is just an influencer for the right, I don’t really care. But there is this kid that I am “friends” with and they are a total Shapiro fanboy. Every time I try to talk to him about politics he always uses an argument that he has seen Shapiro do, the problem is he is absolutely shit at executing a debate (ie. he talks kinda slow) so I provide counter arguments, like one does in a debate. He isn’t ready for this as when Shapiro debates he leaves little time for a rebuttal and videos rarely show one. If he can’t rebut my counter claim all I get is, “SHUT UP UR JUST A STUPID LIBTARD.” it’s just not a way to defend your point, you can’t support a claim with calling someone a libtard. Then when I try to talk to him about his childish way of “arguing” he just says, “stop being so offended you snowflake” like no, I’m not offended that you called me a frankly rude name for a liberal, because I do I fact have quite liberal views, I am angry and disappointed that you act so much better than me at debating when you use old debates, don’t site proper evidence, and try to end a barely constructive conversation without properly supporting your point and thinking you “destroyed” me . Idk what I should do with people like this. Any ideas?
