Kay Jewelers... Get it together!!!

I used to love this one particular location. They were always super friendly and helpful. Made you feel like family.

2 weeks ago, I came in to have my engagement ring and wedding band inspected. The associate showed me there was a loose diamond in my engagement ring and suggested that we send it to be fixed and to have both rings rhodium plated. I asked her how long it would be and she said 2 weeks. I said I really needed it by Friday the 18th as I'm going out of the country for my first wedding anniversary. She said it wouldn't be a problem.

I call to check on the status on Wednesday, as I noticed that she had put a "promise date" of Saturday on the slips. An associate calls the repair shop and they state that they will overnight them that night so that they'll be in by Thursday. I'm thrilled.

I call on Thursday to check if they're in before making the 30 minute drive out... I get told by that same associate that unfortunately, the shop had NOT overnighted the rings but that they will definitely be there by Friday. I'm not happy.

I get a call today (Friday) stating that they're in. I drive out to the store, and as I'm putting them on, I notice my engagement ring is now actually MISSING a diamond. Do they not have a QA process before sending rings out?! I'm beyond disgusted. I then ask the girl at the store how quickly they could get this back to me given that it's their error, and they say a week would be a "rush".... $6K engagement ring and that's the type of "service" I get?? Why are Kay customers forced to go without their items for so long? Doesn't seem like their focus is on customer service/satisfaction. I wish I never had to deal with this company again. Disappointment, again and again. So when I come back from my anniversary trip in a week, I'll have to go without my ring for another week... Unbelievable.
