Babh doesn’t cry when hungry? Normal ?

So my baby is 6 days old he sleeps pretty good he goes up ton4 hours before I wake him up to feed him but when I wake him up if he wakes up most of the time he’s like half asleep feeding, he doesn’t even cry at all is that normal? Not that I want him to cry when he’s hungry but he doesn’t and me being a first time mom I came in thinking he’d cry if he’s hungry to let me know I figure he must be starving after sleeping for 4 hours but no cry. I know this question is silly but I really wanna know if it’s normal for him not to cry

Anticipating his needs prevents crying. And it is harder for an upset baby to eat. So by getting him food when he is at the calm beginning of hunger you are meeting his needs to a T! Great job mama!

If you're waking him to eat, then you're not really even giving him the chance to cry when he's hungry. Which is fine, but I'm just saying this doesn't mean he doesn't cry when he's hungry. If he's not waking then he's most likely just not hungry or needing anything. Babies absolutely will let you know when they need something. I personally never once woke my daughter to eat even as a newborn. She'd go a solid 4-6 hours at that age without waking for it. By 5 weeks, we had her sleeping completely through the night 9-12 hours straight. It was never concerning to me in the slightest.

I had to wake up my baby for the first two week because she wouldn’t wake up to eat. she wouldn’t cry. She would just suck her fingers back to sleep. I had a timer set up.

All babies are different. I would only be worried if he wasn't eating at all. He will get the hang of things lol congrats btw :)
