Nervous about parents?

My husband and I got married about 9 months ago and we just found out we are pregnant! Is anyone else nervous about telling their parents?

I know I am going to get the “babies are a lot of work” “ babies are expensive” talk from our parents because we are 24 and 25. BUT we are financially stable and don’t feel like we are getting cheated out of our 20s or our marriage. We look at it as, we don’t have money to travel and do all of these extravagant things people say you should do when you’re young... so we are having a little one, and in our late forties we will have the money to do these things and the kids will be out of the house.

I told my mom today and her reactions was not what I expected and it disappointed me.
