When your man lasts longer than you?

Basically what feels like the opposite of a problem, my boyfriend last for a very long time. Sometimes up to 45 minutes. And he has told me before that he sometimes holds back because he wants it to last longer or thinks I want it to last longer? And after a while I get uncomfortable and start to get chaffing, etc. mostly from condoms. Any ideas on how I can last longer? Or make it more comfortable? Or if all else fails how exactly to explain this to him? He didn't exactly understand last time I tried, I think.
