Ex problems 🙃🙃

I know you’re probably thinking “girl, it’s an ex, just let it go”

But hear me out.

So me and my bf broke up about 3 months ago, after we broke up we agreed to still be friends and that eventually lead to us taking at least 3 times a week...seeing each other once a week.. friends w benefits I guess. But it was more than just a sexual thing bc I mean, he’s my best friend.

Anyways. Yesterday we were talking in the car and long story short I told him that deep down there’s always gonna be hope that we’ll work things out and he just says “well I don’t know the future, but I like where things are at now”.

And I told him that I need time to separate myself and fully get over him and the relationship, and I said yeah we can talk here and there but nothing more.

I told him he can’t have girlfriend benefits without being in a relationship bc that’s not fair to either of us.

And he got frustrated! He says I’m just being dramatic, and that he doesn’t want to lose me and he enjoys being a part of my life and basically wants things to stay the same.

But I honestly know I can’t.. if he really wanted to be with me, he would say something bc he already knows where I stand. && he hasn’t.

I guess this was more of a vent, but has anyone gone through this too?
