Should I give him my password to my phone ?

One night we was tipsy watching a one of madeas (man banishing movies 😶😷😡👀🔫)and he overheard one of them say "hey we need to exchange passwords to each other's phone".

I known him for 8 years
But only been together for 8 months.

All relationships work differently and trust levels vary, but what is the point in having access to your significant other's cellphone/email/social media? I've been with my husband for 8+ years and we've never exchanged that stuff. I think It's unhealthy if you're going to go through your SO's stuff everytime you have a moment of doubt. And when they refuse to give you the Info or they change it, you're going to assume their doing something wrong...then you'll start fighting and ruin your relationship because of a password. It's personal.

My SO has mine and I have his but only because we trust eackother and will typically use whatever phone is closer to us. We never were like I need your passwords it just kind of happened.

I trust my husband and he trusts me so there is no reason for us to have each other's passwords. In fact we never used to have them until our 2 old daughter started getting ahold of them

I've never asked for my SO's password, he's just never hidden it from me so I know it and he knows mine. We use each other's phones, etc. but we aren't making a point to do these things because of trust issues/trust exercises. Let it happen naturally if it does

I'd totally let him look through my phone. When he didn't find a Damn thing I'd be like “makes you feels stupid huh? That's why I dont look through yours. I know there's nothing because I trust you and trust is important"
