Ovarian cyst while pregnant??

Question

Any mommas out there ever get diagnosed with an ovarian cyst at 12-13 weeks pregnant? What happened? 
Doc told me they weren’t sure if it was simple or complex and changed my due date from November 7th to the 13th in case I need an “intervention”. Thanks for giving me something to freak out about lady... I didn’t have enough going on.

As far as I’m aware it’s normal and it’s called a corpus luteum. I had one with my last pregnancy and I didn’t need anything special- it went away on its own. It normally occurs on the side you ovulated from. I think the person who flagged this to you needs to be re- educated!

I had one my entire first pregnancy, and it cause no problems pregnancy wise. It was a good size too. A couple of months following delivery it somehow caused my ovary to flip over and the blood supply was severely restricted. It was very painful, and I had to have surgery, but luckily my doctor was able to save my ovary and flip it back while removing the cyst.

I’ve got one on my right ovary, they said it’s absolutely tiny and will probably go away by itself so not to worry but they will check it at my next scan to make sure everything is still ok with it. I’m 13+5 now. Hopefully everything will be ok with it, try not to let it worry you xx

They saw one at my 8 week us and it was pretty big. I ended up getting another us at 12 weeks and it had shrunk in size by half! So likely to fully go away. They’re very common and most go away on their own or don’t cause problems to pregnancy. I would try to not worry too much and just get it checked in a month or so.

Don’t worry, it’s pretty normal from what I hear! I have a fairly big one too. My doctor said they just have to keep an eye on it so will be doing the vaginal scans every 6-8 weeks to check the size - she said she just delivered a baby to a Mom with a 13 centimeter cyst and everything was fine! I have had them in the past and they always shrink on their own.

Yes I was at 10 weeks . They said it’s fine as long as it doesn’t get too big or burst :) and most signs for that is extreme cramping and abominable pain .

Yes, I had one rupture that sent me to ER around 6 weeks and was scared I would miscarry and I was totally fine, I’m 10 weeks now! they also saw a few others and said not to worry. I had one my last pregnancy also and baby is fine and healthy. Don’t worry 🤗

I went in at 6w for spotting and they found I was only 5w and have a cyst on my right ovary. I asked them what will we do about it and they said. Well the best thing to do is stop your mensural cycle. So if I wasn’t pregnant then I’d be put on BC but they said basically the pregnancy would help it to go away on its own. When I went back at 8 weeks the measured my cyst and it got smaller. Just mention it at every appointment to track it! You’ll be fine!
