Oh please 🙄 whoever wrote this has not been married for more than a year. Eventually things will start to annoy you, especially after having kids, things will get on your nerves like they didn’t before but that doesn’t mean you still don’t love each other.

I voted disagree. Yes people should make their SO feel good about themselves their entire relationship, but that’s not what the honeymoon phase is. It’s that point when of just getting to know someone and everything is new and fresh. You haven’t heard each other’s boring stories a bajillion times, or seen each other sick or depressed, or dealt with messy family members etc. etc. That fades, but it’s not a bad thing. If it’s a sturdy relationship it’s replaced with a deeper less superficial love.

i feel like the “honeymoon phase” is all infatuation. when you’ve been with someone so long, and you share your life with them, they become your best friend. you know them inside and out. there’s no infatuation when you become that comfortable with someone. i don’t think you need to be completely head over heels, obsessed, butterflies-in-your-stomach with a person in order to love them wholly and fully for an extended period of time.

Lmao married for 8 years here 🙋🏽♀️... This is BS😂🤣😂🤣😂 Love is ever evolving, and it takes TIME to grow! It has different phases especially after you’ve been together for a while. This annoys me because people actually believe this crap, and end up having kids with ppl that were just meant to be phases in their lives or lessons. Love is not a word it’s a verb and it’s being used soo loosely nowadays. This must’ve been written by some horned up person who was trying to get into someone’s pants😂🤣😂🤣 Ppl will say whatever to get what they want especially men. (Best advice my father ever gave me!)

I definitely disagree. I’ve been married for 5 years and we have been together for 15 years. He annoys me at least once a day and that is completely normal, I don’t want to be absolutely head over heels in love anymore. I’m 35, i want to be comfortable. He has seen me at my best and at my absolute worst. Love and your relationship with someone grows and changes. Our relationship isn’t worse when then when we were in the honeymoon phase, it’s just different and it’s comfortable.

I don't think he understands what the honeymoon phase really is... its that initial dating feeling. We don't lose affection, it evolves.

This entire post is highly naive and shows true lack of understanding in how complex people and relationships and emotions are.

12 years with my husband and he annoys me on a REGULAR lol! I want to throw a shoe at his ass sometimes, maybe something harder other times! But I love that man so much !! He’s literally perfect for me and I wouldn’t change it for nothing!!
