Doing HSG test before IUI?

Hey ladies, just wondering if you did any HSG test before IUI? Just to confirm that you do not have any blocked tubes. 
If my IUI fails, I might need to do a HSG test.

Yes I did. It actually should be done prior to doing any IUI’s. If you’re tubes are blocked, obviously IUI’s will most likely not work and I wouldn’t want to spend the months of trying and money if that was the case. It was part of our initial workup.

My doctor said it was mandatory before going to IUI along with blood work to show that I in fact ovulate on my own.

I did a HSG and a SHG testing. My HSG came back great. My SHG came back that I have a polyp on my uterus so I'll be having surgery this month then taking a break then starting IUI.
