Ftm & birth control

I’ve been on birth control before but I feel like now it’s not something I’d want to get. As a first time mom I don’t know how easy (or hard) it is to get pregnant again. My husband and I want another one but in 2-3 years. Second+ moms, how easy is it to get pregnant after your first child without birth control?

We’re planning on using condoms but that’s easier said than done, all in all we’d just like to avoid having another baby before 2 years
