yeast infection

do you always have discharge if you have a yeast infection?

my boyfriend fingered me yesterday & i’m sore. i looked down at my vagina to see what was going on & inside my vagina there is a lotttt more white creamy stuff than usual. also, my stomach has started cramping abt 2 hrs ago. idk if it’s a yeast infection but i’m being paranoid and it might be. what do you think? how long should i wait until i start yeast infection medication? or should i even start it?
