I got my bachelors in psychology and you cant do much unless you go for a masters. Early childhood education can be a platform for your teaching degree and you can prolly get experience in classrooms.

You can't do hardly anything with a Bachelor's in Psychology. Personally I view it to be a useless degree unless you you get you Master's. I have an Early Childhood Education degree and have a lot of opportunities that aren't necessarily even teaching positions. Most require 2-5 years of teaching, but the degree opens more doors. With the college I went to I have schools all over the country contacting me wanting to hire me.

If you are going to do psych make sure you are planning for higher education. You cant do much with just a BS in Psych. I have mine in psych and Im currently in grad school for school counseling. 
Don’t waste your time with a bachelors in early childhood. I work with someone in child care right now who doesn’t even have her GED so I would def not pay that much to get an education when you don’t have to have the degree.
