Guinea pig teeth chattering

Hi guys, i have 2 male guinea pigs that are 6 months old and they are normally very trusting and will eat from my hand. However tonight when i wne to feed them their veggies they ate a little from my hand but then starting teeth chattering and stood frozen in their positons refusing to eat from my hands. Does this mean that they hate me or could i have just scared or frightened them somehow?
