Returning shower gifts???

Looking for some opinions. We had our baby shower today and a couple of the people got together to purchase us a nice stroller (the kind that comes with a car seat attachment). And while I’m extremely grateful we already have one just in a different color(which we received from my MIL) Is it acceptable to return it and use the money for other baby items? (I.e. diapers, formula etc) or is it rude to return it? Will I ever need to tell them or is there a chance they’d find out if I returned it?

Definitely acceptable to return it. There’s no need to have two of the same stroller and car seat. It makes much more sense to return it and buy other things you do need. They shouldn’t find out but if they do just explain you already had the same one. No big deal.

Totally return it. Dont mention it to them. If they ask directly just say you got 2 and so you exchanged it for other baby items but be sure to thank them as you mention it. I'd try to avoid the subject though lol. Only mention it if they clearly realize the set your using isnt the one they got you.

I plan on returning a lot of things I don’t need if I do get them (baby shower is June 8th). 
I am 1/4 girls and I am the oldest, my youngest sister is only 7 months old (I’m 24 promise I’m not 12 😅 mom just had me young).
I have enough clothes in my baby girls closet that it’s insane . My mom hates name brand clothes so it’s full of carters 🥰. But you know what everyone like to buy for baby showers? Clothes . Do you know what I don’t have on my baby registry? Clothes . If I get clothes I’m returning them and using the gift cards for the rest of the things on my registry. 
I’ve only had one person not agree with me, they said “well what if they want to see them in the outfit.” , I don’t like lying so I think I would just tell the truth- we didn’t need it and that is why it is not on the registry . 🤷🏻‍♀️

I returned tons of things that were bought for me. People saw what was on my registry (I.e., a travel system) and decided to buy me a different one... as if they know what I want better than I do 🤦🏻‍♀️
I returned it and many other things, got credit, and bought the things I’d actually asked for. Mine were through amazon so no one ever knew the wiser but unless they’re people you see all the time, they don’t need to know
