Am I the only one who wants baby’s arrival to be lowkey and a moment between the father, me, and the baby? And not tons of people there.

Nope. Definitely not the only one. We’re lucky and live out of state and neither of our family’s will be traveling to us. I’m excited that we will be welcoming our baby and that we’ll have time to be a little family.

Absolutely not announcing labor and not telling anyone till after the "golden hour" then I'll kindly announce to family only her birth stats via text. I'm not even considering friends coming to the hospital they can wait till we're home. And even then ugh! Can you tell I'm not a people person. I'm struggling enough having the nurses there.

For the delivery it's going to be just me and my bf. Im planning on just us three for the first few hours. After that Im going to have visitors come up. Only a few at a time though.

I am doing this for my second baby. We had a couple people in the room the first time, but this time I am just having my husband and I. Its our last baby too so I kind of want it quiet and more simple.

Nope! I don’t want anyone at all visiting period. This will be our first baby and I want to experience it alone before having 4738284 people come by. She’s gonna be new and I’d like to not expose her to so many people all at once.

I’d never allow anyone other than my husband in the room. I think it’s great for people that want their family present but it’s not for me.

I’m trying to get my fiancé to understand this. His parents are flying in for the birth so, I’d make an exception for them to not be rude. 
But, I really don’t want our roommate and anyone else there. I definitely don’t want anyone there during labor or for a while after to recover.

My room was packed full of people at all times for my 25 hour labor 🙃 I didn’t mind at the time because I was sleeping a lot but this time we’re not telling anyone until I’m very close to 10cm. Only people that will know I’m in labor is my parents since they will need to come pick my daughter up at some point.

I don't even tell anyone I'm in labor 🤷‍♀️ I end up telling my mom and sister, but they know and understand that I don't like having visitors, but then I don't announce on fb or to anyone else until like a week after birth. Saves me from having to fight off unwanted visits 😂 some people end up butthurt, but that's fine because it is a moment that is solely about you, baby, and the dad, no one else.
