When is the right time to start using pregnancy tests? I say at least three weeks but hubby says the next day. We had a miscarriage at least three months ago and we’ve been trying again but we had to stop so to some unfortunate family affairs but for the past week we’ve been trying everyday so I just need someone other than a man to tell me it’s ok to not pee on a stick right after...

Like the day after sex?? Definitely nit. It takes atleast 6 days for implantation. Don’t test until atleast 2weeks after sex or atleast 9dpo.

Supposed to “technically” wait until missed period, however I always tested roughly 7-14 days after estimated ovulation time

I’m a little confused at your question are you asking when to use a pregnancy test to determine if you’re pregnant? Or how soon after a miscarriage to get a negative test?
Pregnancy isn’t immediate, it’s best to wait until your next missed period to test. 
If you’re asking when to take a pregnancy test after a miscarriage to check to see if all the hcg is gone you’re also correct, a few weeks is what’s best to wait. Then you know that if you get a positive it’s because you’re pregnant again. I hope that whatever you need help with you get the answer. What you’re going through is hard enough, I’m sure if you explain to your SO what’s really going on in terms of a miscarriage, that you were pregnant and you no longer will be but your body has to catch up that he will understand. And same if you’re asking about getting pregnant again just tell him that the body doesn’t work that quickly and it will take a few weeks for the hormones to begin producing if you are pregnant.
