How do you trim your LOs nails?

Question

My 7MO gets so mad now when I try to cut her nails. I used to do it while she was nursing but now she just gets mad and cries and keeps pulling her hand away. I’ve tried filing them (and even trying to bite them myself 😂) but she won’t sit still enough. And she wakes way too easily so doing it in her sleep won’t work. 
Any tips ? How are you guys doing it?

My son is 4 months old and fights like a caged animal. It takes my husband holding him and holding one of his hands while I do it. 🙄 biting them IS easier but he’s still so little I’m worried about germs but I’m close to saying eff it.

I cut my Bubs nails while he’s asleep, it’s the easiest for me

I just stayed consistent with it. It’s not always easy but I need to do it. She sits on my lap and I hold her hand firmly, one finger out at a time. I use baby clippers as well. Sometimes she yells at me, sometimes I’m able to distract with a toy. She’s a year old as of today :)

I'd feed her some Yogi's and sing songs.

We use baby nail scissors. Much easier in my opinion. I try to distract him with something. This week, we sat outside and he was busy looking around to notice what I was doing.

I give mine a second pair of nail clippers to hold onto while I cut her nails. It keeps her distracted and shes less startled by what Im using if she plays with it too.
