I don’t get checked till after 40weeks. It’s unnecessary unless for medical reasons. Some women walk around dilated for weeks and others don’t dilate till labor. Checking early at every appointment can irritate the cervix, cause possible spotting and contractions- then causes unnecessary worry for the mom. Knowing if you are dilating or not can cause stress to mamas too.

With my oldest I was 37 weeks. With this baby I will not be having it done at all.
