Did Gripe water for 3 week old help

Question

My son has been having a lot of gas and hiccups, I can tell the gas pains are uncomfortable to him because he strains and lets out little cries before he toots. He’s not constipated, he poos several times a day. I have him the recommended dose of gripe water yesterday and he was hungry a few mins after so I fed him a little. He proceeded to vomit every where and the gas and hiccups remained. I didn’t know that you should give them the gripe 30 minutes after eating until I google searched it (it didn’t say that on the package) Has the gripe water helped anyone else’s infant? Just trying to decide if I should try it again

Gripe water actually made my son more fussy.  We used mylicon instead.

I used gripe water when my son was fussy but my baby always strained to poop until four months. I worried a lot about it but doctor kept saying it was normal. I limited gripe water to about once or twice per week but it seemed to work only temporarily. He would settle down for about an hour after and then restart being fussy. So it’s a worth a shot but it didn’t work as well for me as some other moms claim.

Not so much gas but hiccups for sure! Got rid of them every time for my lo

We used mylicon drops with my first, and I’ll never use anything else. If you look for them at Walmart, they are in the pharmacy area, and look for infant mylicon drops.
