Should I take plan B today?

hi, im supposed to be on my period since yesterday, and I still have not gotten my period.

i had unprotected sex 2 nights ago. i thought I would be safe since my period was right around the corner.

please, I will be waiting for your replies.

do I need to go get Plan B now?

If you want to take plan b today because you think you're pregnant, it's too late. If you had sex 2 days ago and think that's when you got pregnant, you're not pregnant yet.

Can always take plan B to be on the safe side. I would recomend taking a test before hand incase your are In fact pregnant but from earlier on in your cycle. There has to be a reason why you period is late thou.

The efficacy of plan b declines strongly after 48 hours, by all means go ahead and take it (under direct supervision of a healthcare professional once they have gone through side effects and allergies with you) but be aware that it will only have a 50% chance of working. Also if your period is due it is highly unlikely that the sperm will meet your egg and implant before the uterine lining sheds.
