Midwife or OB?

Do you have a midwife or an OB & why? 
I have a history of recurring miscarriages & the facility I want to go to has midwives for the most part & a few OB’s. What was your experience?

Since you have a history of miscarriages I would recommend an OB. Midwives are amazing for low risk pregnancies, or home births, but I think you need special care!

I had an OB with my first and a midwife with my current baby. Because they’re close and covered by my insurance (we changed insurance between babies thus needing to see someone new). I loved my OBs and I love my midwives. I’m 38 weeks and I haven’t noticed a difference in how they approach my care yet.

OB. I have a history of miscarriages, and my live births, I had complications with as well. Not to mention postpartum mastitis that turned into sepsis with my first, then retained products that ended badly with my second. Both instances my OB was able to admit me and manage my entire care in the hospital, including my surgery. I was very thankful to have someone I was already comfortable with the whole endeavor.
