IUI with AI or IVF

Please can I ask some advise from couples that have done fertility treatment. I am 36 years old and producing 13 eggs a cycle and my husband is 37 had a good sperm count.

Our fertility doctor can not explain why we still not pregnant almost 2 years trying but he said if we can afford it he would suggest we skipped the IUI with AI and just go for IFV as the success rate is higher. And he would hate for me to go through months of trying IUI with AI with a 10% monthly success rate at my age and then having to come up with the IFV fees.

Please advise if anyone has been in a similar situation and what our out come was?
