Should mother face charges if the stepfather is found guilty?

This is a story I’ve been following the last week or so & it’s absolutely heartbreaking. I don’t think it has been posted so I figured I would see everyone’s views on it. There is a lot of new information being released specifically by the mother. She admitted that this man abused her daughter & might’ve also mollested her & she basically did nothing. She also left this child when she went out of town knowing they had just gotten into a horrible fight. Many are accusing her of being in on this but even if she wasn’t many think she should face some kind of charges due to neglect. What are your thoughts? I avoided uploading one of the photos where he is seen carrying a laundry basket with the garbage bag because I just can’t bare to look at it.
