Egg Retrieval & Fertilization

Yesterday was my egg retrieval! The procedure itself was quite quick. I’m still very sore and completely underestimated just how much discomfort I would have post-op. No anesthesia hangover today though!

My RE’s office called this morning with our numbers. Ten eggs retrieved with six mature, and all six fertilized. The fertilized ones are looking good so far. The four immature eggs are still being watched to see if they progress...being hopeful but also realistic that they just aren’t meant to be. We will receive our next update on 5/22 with what made it to freeze. If all goes well, we’re looking at a frozen transfer in July (most likely). Fingers crossed!! Now to endure the longest six days of wondering... Good luck to everyone!😊
