Discharge

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and after some contractions which lasted about an hour (on Tuesday night) i still have some on and off back pain and what feels like cramps also I’ve noticed discharge since then.It started off clear and thin now it’s thicker with a yellow-ish tint.Is this my mucus plug? If it is does the plug come out all at once or is it that it’s just coming out slowly and I still have time before I have real contractions and possibly go into labor

Sorry if these questions sound silly it’s my first pregnancy and my doctor has refused to check if I’m dilated at all yet but plans to induce me at 39 weeks 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have an appointment with him tomorrow but I figured I’ll get some answers from you ladies first so thanks in advance
