Hard dream to explain to SO

So last night I had this bad dream that it woke me up in middle of the night and that I basically wanted to lay on my SO in his arms. Today he asked me what that what about...... Since I've told him it first now I feel it's safe to share and want to kind of have it interpreted.

So my dream is that an ex lover that's from Saudi Arabia came back to the states (which he was a cheat and abusive, and manipulative)and he and my sister had me come meet up with them. It's that I did so but brought my current SO that I love to pieces. I asked him to just let me hear them out. It's that he came back and apologized to my sister first what he has all done to me and since our mom is gone he was with my sister to ask for my hand in marriage (which in real life we did talk about marriage) my sister forgave him and explained to him that I would of possibly stayed if he was nicer. My current SO comes closer but yet in the distance. Which this dream occurred in the lawn area of an old apartment complex that me and the ex lover lived in when we first got together. And was explaining we probably could live in an apartment all together. And I apparently stood up from where we we were sitting and was almost to the point about to say I need to go to my sister but I was obviously upset in my dream and then saw me and my current SO leave with time to give my sister a hug.

Please help..... I was honestly scared enough that I thought it was going to start a fight between me and my significant other.
