friendly kid?!

Question

does anyone have a REALLY friendly child? 
my son has never been afraid of anyone holding him. now that he’s almost two, he would go up to someone (someone i know, but he doesn’t) and would want them to pick him up. there has been about 5 people who told me, i need to teach him about strangers... i’m always watching him and who he plays with etc but how do i even teach my toddler about strangers at this age?? lol.

Yup! Our daughter is so friendly all the time, but I encourage her to be! I’d rather her like people than to be scared of them all the time. She’ll even ask people working at stores, that she’s never met nor seen before, to hold her! But I will say that I really keep track of who is around us and if people are looking at us in a funny way, just because I know how scary it is out there for sex trafficking, pedophiles, and so many other horrible things. I take it upon myself to keep track and protect her rather than let her live in fear at such a young age. We’ll get to stranger danger later (closer to school age) when I’m not always with her.

My babe is extra friendly to!! However, he is also brave. And I think it's a little dangerous. So, I know this sounds maybe a little harsh but if my son runs off to go see people I do say "B, you have to careful. Someone could take you!" He gets a little more aware and will stay closer and wave from afar. But nothing really stops him from being so friendly lol!!

Yes my daughter has asked neighbors she just met 5 minutes before to hold her... 😬 I'm not worried yet because I'm always there and I don't think there is a way to really teach it right now that wouldn't go overboard and make them not want to interact with others at all. I say wait until they are old enough to understand a lecture on it.

You’re with him all the time, or someone is, I don’t think we need to do stranger danger yet with a parent or some responsible adult constantly around. 
My daughter is very friendly (though she generally doesn’t want to be held by anyone 😂) but she’ll give hugs to anyone and play with anyone even if she doesn’t know them. She’s never been overly shy (although she does somewhat freeze around other kids, but she figures it out after a few minutes 😂)
