I have my ringer on silent Bc I don’t want to be addicted to my phone and when my family texts me they always get mad at me for not responding which is stupid Bc I’m not always on my phone like them

Chill y’all, it’s not that serious 😭😂 If it’s extremely long you’re not texting them back then yes. Even people who aren’t addicted to their phones check the notifications. I’d say if it’s more than a couple of hours and it’s an urgent thing then yes, they have a right. And from the sound of it I’m assuming you’re still in school living at home, but even if I’m wrong I doubt it’s long before you look at you notifications. If you look and see they texted you and then not text back, you’re deliberately ignoring them and have to reap the consequences.

Not getting a text back gives me anxiety. I have really bad anxiety and that’s one of my anxiety triggers you may find it stupid but just be aware there are a few people who get anxiety attacks from that
