Alcohol during pregnancy
I have a 6 week old baby; he is very healthy, conscious, smiling, growing appropriately.
I am going through the expected Baby Blues on/off, especially when I am running on no sleep. I have also been hunted by remorse.
Throughout my pregnancy, I was avoiding alcohol, BUT had a few sips of beer or wine here and there (maybe a total of 8 times tops in the whole pregnancy);
I know alcohol is a huge NO-NO, but my sister, and some friends would encourage me to have a little bit with them, since “they would drink occasionally when pregnant, and everything was fine”. I am just mad, that I was trying to be “chill” and give in sometimes. Sip to cheer someone’s health, and I think in the last few weeks of pregnancy I had half a glass of wine.
I just wanted to write it out, because I am mad at myself, and I hope that my baby didn’t get affected by it in any way. He is okay now, but would he be smarter if I had ZERO alcohol? Would he develop faster? Be even healthier? I don’t know...I am stupid. Sorry for a whiny post 😭
