Is media being fair to you?

Do you think media portrays you accurately to the world? And by you i mean your people, country, religion,  etc.
And what do you think should be done to prevent being sucked up into fake news?

I really hate the term “fake news”. If it’s fake, it’s by definition not news. 
To avoid misinformation, just check sources on everything. If it’s far right or far left it’s garbage. If you’re not familiar with the outlet google the story, and see what other reputable sources are saying about it. 
As far as representation it’s pretty all over the place for accuracy, but there’s certainly no shortage of white American women being portrayed everywhere.

For me, I see all the stereotypical behavior of Latinos, latinas. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about the portrayal of my culture.
Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s irritating, sometimes it’s funny because it’s accurate,and sometimes it’s irritating because it’s inaccurate 
Now idk about traditional Mexican culture. But Americanized Mexican culture, sometimes when/if I do see it, it’s not always accurate

Absolutely not.  But you keep from getting sucked into it by realizing that there's two sides to every story and quite often, the news media only likes to report one; the one that makes bigger news.  The news media is rarely impartial.

I'm not portrayed in the media at all 😂 unless it's like Cheetah Girls era that was the only time I really felt represented. I really can't think of any other characters from TV or movies.

The media portrays Americans as either extreme left or extreme right. That's most definitely not the case. Plenty of us that are more in the middle, but slightly lean one way or the other.
