Swollen feet from walking?

Yesterday I went to the mall and was there for about 5 hours walking around taking small breaks. My feet hurt so bad today, aching and I'm wondering did I walk too much? Do your feet get swollen from walking? They don't look swollen but I can't stand to walk today, did I just get them tired? I feel them throbbing. Does this happen to anyone else?
