Braxton Hicks?

Can someone explain to me what Braxton Hicks may possibly feel like? I had pain on my left side from the middle back to the front of my stomach and then on my left side again but below my stomach.

Braxton Hicks feels like your belly (uterus) tightening. It can last a second or several seconds then it will un-tighten. Usually without any pain if its Braxton hicks, but sometimes some pain, not as bad as a real contraction. Braxton hicks are practice contractions, your uterus tightening.
