Has any one here been to the GP about irregular periods?

I’ve posted on other groups here as I’ve been worried for some time. My periods have been anywhere from 26 days to 38 days. The response I’ve had on other groups say these numbers are within the normal range so GP isn’t likely to do anything.

I appreciate the numbers are within the normal range but they are not consistently the same or within a day or two each month. I’ve read online that significant variation does mean an irregular period.

We’ve been trying since October. This month I’m feeling very desperate and my thinking is to go to the GP next month. My last 3 cycles have been 36, 29 then 26. Today is 29 and no sign! Is there anything the GP can do help them regulate? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any responses - even if it’s not what I want to hear xxx
